Employment Services for the Deaf (ESD) is a specialized support service dedicated to empowering Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing individuals to achieve long-term success in the workforce. Our program focuses on providing tailored services that cater to the unique needs of the Deaf community, including those with diverse linguistic backgrounds. By utilizing Deaf-friendly training methods and visual-based learning materials, ESD equips consumers with essential employability skills and resources necessary for their career development and independence.
Our program is specifically designed to benefit Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing individuals, especially those with diverse linguistic backgrounds. We focus on cultural understanding, language fluency, and newcomer support. The key features of the program include:
We offer a wide array of resources, such as consumer referral forms, intake forms, attendance and progress tracking forms, a consumer handbook, and a job readiness training curriculum. We are dedicated to meticulously preparing everything to ensure effective communication and reporting satisfaction.

Mr. Kittell's life journey showcases his relentless determination and dedication to empowering the Deaf community. Born profoundly deaf, he discovered a new world of communication at the age of 9 through sign language. His career spans several universities, earning him a Bachelor's degree and leading ventures in the restaurant, computer sales, event, and education industries.
In 2000, Mr. Kittell established an educational and vocational resources company, ASL MEDIA, intending to empower Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing individuals through innovative and effective educational and vocational tools that he developed. The company offered a comprehensive range of visual products, such as learning videos in sign language, printed textbooks, workbooks, and worksheets. These resources were widely used in schools, Deaf services, libraries, and by individuals, enhancing the learning process and improving educational outcomes.
Mr. Kittell's expertise in video production—from planning to post-production—and educational resource development, including assessments, workbooks, and worksheets that combine images with words and sentences, allows him to create engaging content tailored to the unique needs of the Deaf community.
His deep understanding of language barriers and complex communication challenges underscores his dedication to the Deaf community. Mr. Kittell is preparing to launch Employment Services for the Deaf (ESD) in a new location, focusing on essential training for long-term employment success. His mission is clear: to empower the Deaf community through innovative and effective vocational training and resources.
